SUPERMINDS: NIETZSCHE - TO BE TWO

THE LOVERS by BLUEFOOTED

I'd first started this post Monday afternoon.
I wasn't sure it measured up to my criteria for a Nietzsche post,
so I scrapped it. Later on I watched Rosie O'Donell on Oprah
speaking about the split from her partner, and I took it as *a
reaffirmation from the world to do this blog post.
I decided to blog it on Friday, the day ruled by Venus,
the Goddess of Love. I still didn't do it, ..feeling uninspired
in how to present it. Late last night we caught an old forgettable
episode of The Cosby Show where Vanessa had gotten cold feet
and flirted with reneging in her engagement to Dabnis,
-her much older college professor!?
I felt finally, that I had been sufficiently inspired....

THEREFORE I WOULD HAVE THOSE WHO
ARE HONEST SAY TO EACH OTHER:

"We love each other, let us see to it that we remain in love.
Or shall our promise to one another be a mistake?"

"Let's give Us a probation and a little marriage.
For it is a big thing always to be two."

Thus I counsel all who are honest, and what would my love
for the Overman, and for all who shall yet to come, amount
to if I counseled and spoke differently?

To not to merely Reproduce, but to Produce, something higher;
-toward that, my brothers, the garden of marriage should help you.

FOOTNOTES:

*"People hardly ever realize that we can cut anything
from our lives, any time, just like that." He snapped his fingers.
"Do you think that one can stop smoking or drinking that easily?"
I asked. "Sure!" he said with great conviction.
"Smoking and drinking are nothing. Nothing at all
if we want to drop them."
At that very moment the water that was boiling
in the coffee percolator made a loud perking sound.
Hear that!" don Juan exclaimed with a shine in his eyes.
"The boiling water agrees with me." Then he added after a pause,
"A man can get agreements from everything around him."
