THE EAGLE'S GIFT / THE EAGLE'S SECRET

Photobucket

The Eagle's Gift - a description of the force that creates, destroys, and rules the universe (or at least the 48 bands of earth) in toltec nagualism; also the source of emanations themselves, description of the eagle's command to man, the rule of the nagual, various levels of petty tyrants, and a way towards freedom, self-stalking and dreaming, power spots.

Note that Don Juan described the energy-structure/entity called THE EAGLE a thing that is not what we call an eagle, but rather a thing so vast as to be incomprehensible.

In today's dynamic global economy, the old rules for how to succeed--how to even stay employed--have been radically changed. The restructuring and re-engineering of our workplaces demanded by the new landscape of technology, international competition and communications now requires us to apply the lessons learned by organizations to our own professional and personal lives; what's needed now is a restructuring and re-engineering of our proactive-selves.

Combining a blend of a seminar's worth of exercises, research-driven insights, and inspiring stories of ordinary people doing extraordinary things, David McNally guides us through seven chapters, illustrating the attitudes and behaviors needed to navigate in this new world of work and career.

The Eagle's Secret teaches us how to trust ourselves and find the strengths that allow us not only to survive, but to thrive.

10 STEPS TO BEING A ONE MAN CORPORATION

[or At Least a High-Powered Professional]

1. Get up before the sun comes up.
2. Develop a budget for what you're trying to do.
3. Get a Partner, Develop a Team.
4. Spend an hour a day on Strategic Planning.
5. Keep a Daily Journal / Planner / Notebook.
6. Choose a Lodestar.
7. Do it The Way, before you choose to do it "your" way.
8. Have the Best Moves, not the Best Tools. ...actually, have both.
9. Know. Don't think, don't feel, KNOW.
10. Be the One others copy & try to 'do it better' than.

*Make your production company the source from which your enterprises stem from. If ANY of your endeavors fail to pan out you don't bankrupt your vision, your enthusiasm, or your pocket. You will protect and preserve the heart of your business in this way. You can also franchise your idea and allow others to put their stamp on your vision and you collect on it; or give your business over to someone who can do with it what you can't [assuming they are a BETTER business person] and you take royalties on future profits.

THE DAILY NIETZSCHE: BE HONEST

Will nothing beyond your capacity: there is a wicked falseness
among those who will beyond there capacity.
Especially if they will great things!

For they arouse mistrust against great things, these subtle counterfeiters and actors--until finally they are false before themselves, squinters, whited worm-eaten decay, cloaked with strong words, with display virtues, with splendid false deeds.

Take good care there, Superior men!
For nothing today is more precious to me and rarer than honesty.

OF DRAGONS AND EAGLES

Photobucket

I was looking for something to post for Bruce Lee's birthday
which is today, but could also connect to the blog's theme;
and then I found this.

This is a Hong Kong production starring Shannon Lee, the daughter of Bruce Lee. The English title of the movie is ENTER THE EAGLES, and was apparently made to capitalize on the 25th anniversary of Bruce's death. If I can find it I'm gonna get it; which basically means I'm gonna get it.

Happy B-day Bruce!

THAT MAN HAS COURAGE

Do you have courage, O my brothers? Are you brave?
Not courage before witnesses but the courage of hermits and eagles,
which is no longer watched even by a god.

Cold souls, mules, the blind, and the drunken I do not call brave.
Brave is he who knows fear but conquers fear, who sees the abyss, but with pride.

Who sees the abyss but with the eyes of an eagle: who graps the abyss with the talons of an eagle --
that man has courage.
